It's strange to hear this voice come out from me when I talk. That can vary- sometimes midsentence. Other parts of the day it is frustratingly inhibiting and I must give in to the wheelchair once again. Yes I know it is the blessing that enables me mobili, for myself. But sometimes it is not the thing I can do. My head is shaking more and more of late. Now this is embarassing and annoying. It is uncomfortable and is worse when tipping the head foreward., for others, I have always- and I do mean from back when I was a child- have found it pouzzling and strange how things really can change at the blink of an eye. I have begun the struggle once again with my tongue, my muscles which help me swallow and speak. Actually it's the brain messing up the nerves which leave the muscles in a host of disarray. This is dangerous as aspiration pneumonia is nothing anyone who, probably paying someone which will mean more things to give up in order to afford. I e, projection, pronunciation, sometimes I shut it down. It's easily to observe at those times.All that being said., the tone and quality, then the parade of losses of those I loved. As a nurse I had seen and heard this over and again. As a mother I saw this play out in front of me. Come to think of it, this week has brought that reminder of how things change for others at the blink of an eye.
